Scottish Man Dies Before Winning Huge Lottery Prize

A 59-year-old Scottish man passed away before learning he had won a substantial lottery prize totaling £7.9 million, nearly equivalent to $10 million. Andrew Gill died after falling from the stairs at a friend's house, resulting in a broken neck and subsequent death days later. While Lisa Thomas, the deceased's daughter, mourned her father's unexpected passing, she was stunned to receive an envelope at her home in North Lanarkshire. The shock for Lisa was discovering that her father, alongside another winner, had won the jackpot in the postal lottery, valued at $10 million. Lisa considered the prize a final gift from her father, stating to the Scottish newspaper "Daily Record": "I feel sad that my dad isn't here to enjoy this large sum of money." She added, "We haven't decided yet what we will do with the amount, but it's likely we will take a holiday in Florida," as reported by the British newspaper "The Sun."
