Egyptian artist Mohamed Ramadan appeared in a televised interview for "Al-Sumaria" channel before his upcoming concert in Iraq, holding a hookah. Ramadan not only appeared with the hookah but also smoked it while answering questions, stating, "Great hookah, reminds me of the Egyptian hookah, and the hookah of Rafaa Al-Dasouqi. There were people who stopped me, recalling the phrase (Ah, you are a master, standing and talking, why not hold the hookah then?) and this is the role of art in bringing people together," according to "Fi Al-Fann" website.
During the interview, Ramadan confirmed that Iraqi songs have recently made tremendous breakthroughs, becoming widespread in the Arab world and achieving very high listening numbers and rates. He mentioned that he feels safe despite all the news surrounding the instability of the security situation there.
Mohamed Ramadan indicated that he will shoot a new music video in Baghdad. He is scheduled to hold a major concert in Baghdad on the evening of Friday, December 10.
It is worth noting that Ramadan's latest work was the series "Moussa," which aired during Ramadan 2021, co-starring artists Heba Magdy, Somaya El Khashab, Abeer Sabry, Riyad El Khouli, Sayed Ragab, and Tara Emad, written by Nasser Abdel Rahman and directed by Mohamed Salama.
