Death of Former Croatia National Team Coach After Battle with Illness

The Croatian Football Federation confirmed today the death of Zlatko Kranjčar, the former head coach of the Croatian national team, at the age of 64.

The Croatian news agency (Hina) reported that coach Zlatko Kranjčar passed away following a brief battle with a serious illness.

Zlatko Kranjčar served as the head coach of the Croatian national team from 2004 to 2006, leading the team to qualify for the 2006 FIFA World Cup held in Germany.

It is worth noting that coach Zlatko Kranjčar began his professional career at Dinamo Zagreb and concluded it at Rapid Vienna in Austria. Since 1991, he had coached several clubs in Austria and Croatia.
