Manchester United Players Abandon Greenwood Following Allegations

Several Manchester United stars have unfollowed Mason Greenwood on social media after the young player was arrested by British authorities on charges of rape and sexual assault. According to a report by the British newspaper "Daily Mail," Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, and David De Gea have all unfollowed Greenwood on Instagram.

Other players who have distanced themselves from Greenwood on social media include Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani, Fred, and Jesse Lingard, while Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes remain among his followers.

Manchester City's police confirmed on Monday that Greenwood had been arrested on suspicion of raping and assaulting a young woman, stating that he would remain in custody for investigation. This police action followed a series of photos and videos posted by British woman Harriet Robson on her Instagram account, in which she accused her boyfriend Greenwood of assaulting her.

The influencer shared several images and videos, including one showing severe bleeding from her lip and multiple bruises on her face, body, and thighs. Following the incident, Manchester United announced that the young player would not return to team training until further notice. Football experts predict the end of the English international's career after the shocking incident, as he was expected to be one of England's standout players in the coming years.
