Several people were shot on Tuesday in a subway station in the Brooklyn area of New York, according to multiple media reports. A spokesperson for the civil defense told AFP that the shooting in the subway in Brooklyn resulted in at least 13 people being injured on Tuesday morning, with "unexploded explosive devices" also being found. A large security presence was deployed on 36th Street and Fourth Avenue in Brooklyn, where the incident occurred. A spokesperson for the New York Police Department previously confirmed that "at 8:27 AM, the police received an urgent call from a person who was shot in the subway" in Brooklyn. Local media reported, citing sources from the fire department, that gunfire was directed at several people. Additionally, train services were halted.
