Title: UK Beauty Queen Denied Entry to America Due to Syria Birthplace

Lynn Clive was crowned Miss Britain for Married Women and was set to represent the UK in the Miss World competition, but the American embassy in London denied her entry into the United States. The 29-year-old, born in Damascus, arrived in the UK from Syria in 2013 carrying a "bag of clothes" before studying at university, learning English, and training to become a doctor in the National Health Service, according to the British "Daily Mail."

Lynn, who is also a television presenter, obtained British citizenship in August 2020 and was looking forward to celebrating her journey to America as a British citizen while representing the UK in the global competition after being crowned Miss Britain in 2020.

However, Clive's dream hangs in the balance as she is uncertain about participating in the competition following the denial of her visa to enter the United States. Lynn and some activists believe this refusal is linked to her Syrian background. Unless the issue is resolved swiftly, this will be the first time in 37 years that the UK is not represented at this global event, which starts today in Las Vegas for a week.
