The Metropolitan of Beirut and its suburbs for the Greek Orthodox, Bishop Elias Aoudeh, confirmed that "for our country to rise again, we need human mercy." He added in his Sunday sermon: "The leaders must have compassion for the people who are living a great disappointment." Aoudeh emphasized the necessity for the Parliament to fulfill its duties as dictated by our country's constitution, to elect a president within the specified timeframe, to intensify its meetings, and to engage in oversight and legislative work.
