The Iraqi Ministry of Interior's intelligence apparatus has arrested a sleeper cell of ISIS, comprising four terrorists, in Kirkuk Province (250 kilometers north of Baghdad). The Security Media Cell stated in a press release on Sunday that the Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency within the Ministry of Interior successfully apprehended the four terrorists who make up the sleeper cell operating in Kirkuk, providing logistical support to ISIS elements.
It was noted that the detainees participated in the so-called "Fog" terrorist operation against security forces and set up fake checkpoints in the areas of Daquq and Rashad in Kirkuk Province. It was also mentioned that their statements were recorded initially and judicially, and legal procedures have been taken against them.
