Blackburn Rovers announced the provision of a prayer space for its Muslim fans to perform the Maghrib prayer during the team's match against Hartlepool United next Wednesday, part of the first round of the English League Cup. The club issued an official statement announcing the availability of the prayer space, as the timing of the match coincides with the Maghrib prayer time. The English club clarified in the statement that worshippers can inquire about the location of the prayer space at the stadium to perform their prayers throughout the current season. Blackburn had previously opened its stadium for Muslims to perform Eid al-Adha prayers but later retracted that decision due to poor weather conditions, designating a side park for prayer instead. Blackburn Rovers currently leads the League One table with 6 points.
