Syria announced on Tuesday that a soldier was killed and 11 others were injured in an explosion of a bomb placed inside a military bus near the Customs Roundabout in Damascus. The Syrian news agency "SANA," citing a military source, stated that the explosion, which occurred on Tuesday morning, was caused by a bomb previously planted by terrorists inside a military waiting bus. Attacks by opposition groups in the Syrian capital are rare, especially after the Syrian army eliminated pockets where the latter were stationed around Damascus. Last October, Damascus witnessed the death of 14 people and several injuries due to the explosion of two bombs that had been attached to a military waiting bus at the President Bridge.
