Macron to Tamara: "My Heart is with You"

French President Emmanuel Macron expressed his condolences to Tamara, daughter of the Italian helicopter victim, Tarek Al-Tayyah. Tamara also lost her mother, jewelry designer Hala Al-Tayyah, in the Beirut port explosion. She met Macron during his visit to Lebanon after the disaster and presented him with a map of Lebanon designed by her mother. Macron's official Facebook page shared a message of sympathy from the president to Tamara, stating: "On September 1, 2020, I was in Beirut, I heard many testimonies, but one deeply moved me. It is the testimony of Tamara, who lost her mother in the explosion. The reason that drives me to stay committed to Lebanon is Tamara and the hope she embodies, the hope of Lebanese youth." He added: "In the incident in Italy, Tamara lost her father. I tell her that I share her pain, and my thoughts are with her in this terrible ordeal. More than ever, my heart is with her."
