Drinking Water After Meals Helps Whiten Teeth

American dental specialist Dr. Hannah Kinsella advised, in a conversation with the British newspaper Express, to drink water after eating to maintain white teeth.

Dr. Hannah stated, "Drinking clean water is beneficial in many areas of life; it is essential for well-being and oral health as it acts as a natural cleaner that removes bacteria from the teeth."

She added, "I recommend drinking at least a cup of water after every meal and avoiding excessive consumption of coffee and tea, as they can quickly lead to yellow or brown stains on the teeth."

The issue is not limited to certain foods and drinks that stain teeth; nicotine in cigarettes can also discolor teeth, so it is wise to avoid smoking to achieve bright white teeth.

Dr. Hannah explained some natural ways to whiten teeth, such as eating strawberries, which contain malic acid, a natural teeth whitener.

Additionally, teeth can be whitened at home using baking soda by gently rubbing it on the teeth or mixing it with toothpaste.
