The club stated in a message on its official Twitter account: "Origi will leave the team as his contract ends on June 30." Liverpool bid farewell to their player with a message saying: "Thank you for 8 wonderful years serving the team, during which you contributed to exceptional moments.. Origi, a Liverpool legend." The Reds also shared a video highlight featuring the key moments of Divock Origi since his transfer to the team, captioned: "It has been an extraordinary journey with memorable moments in our history, thank you Origi for everything." Divock Origi (27 years old) joined Liverpool in the summer of 2014 from French club Lille, having been loaned twice to the same team and later to German club Wolfsburg in the summer of 2017.
