A Saudi citizen shared the story of his survival from certain death after his vital functions stopped for 55 seconds due to a traffic accident he experienced in the Asir region. Abdullah Al-Yazidi told "Akhbar 24" that he was on his way from home to work when his vehicle skidded off the road due to water on the surface and collided with a bridge. He noted that his injuries were minor, but a passerby who tried to rescue him from the car did so incorrectly, resulting in a severe spinal injury.
He mentioned that he was transported by ambulance to the hospital where he underwent surgery. Al-Yazidi continued, saying that he was later transferred to King Fahd Medical City, at which point all of his vital signs stopped for 55 seconds, meaning he was clinically dead since all his organs ceased functioning; however, he then revived, much to the astonishment of the doctors.
Al-Yazidi stated that days after the operation, his treating physician informed him that he was paraplegic, which had a profound psychological impact on him and his relatives. He reported significant improvement in his health after he managed to walk again following a visit to another doctor in Asir, eventually regaining the ability to walk gradually.
