Alexander Mikheyev, the General Director of Rosoboronexport, stated that the company is ready to sell the United Arab Emirates the latest high-tech weapons for all types and branches of the armed forces.
Mikheyev told Sputnik agency ahead of the opening of the IDEX-2021 exhibition, "The United Arab Emirates, like most countries in the region, is primarily interested in the latest high-tech military weapons, and thanks to the excellent work of Russian design offices and defense industry institutions, Rosoboronexport can now offer its partner unique models for the global arms market, with successful combat experience."
At the same time, Mikheyev emphasized that the company is ready to "negotiate the supply of weapons for all types and categories of the armed forces." Rosoboronexport is the only government company authorized to export the complete range of military and dual-use products, technologies, and services.
The capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi, will host the International Defense Exhibition "IDEX-2021" from February 20-25, which gathers more than 24 experts and specialists in the defense sector. The conference aims to highlight the importance of close cooperation among governments, industry sectors, and academia to find solutions to the challenges facing humanity, particularly in the field of security and defense. This year's exhibition is the first to be held in a "hybrid" format, with extensive participation from 80 countries both in-person at the ADNOC business center and virtually.
