The media office of Minister of Public Health Firas Al-Abyad confirmed in a statement that "the medications and vaccines at the Karantina center affiliated with the Ministry of Public Health are preserved in the refrigeration units of the newly rehabilitated Karantina warehouse, which has optimal cooling conditions powered by solar energy and batteries. The only part that has stopped working is the distribution center, which contained a limited quantity of medications that were quickly transferred to refrigerated storage for preservation.
The ministry had to halt operations at the center due to the inability to secure diesel fuel. Minister of Public Health Firas Al-Abyad is communicating with relevant authorities to find a quick solution to this situation, emphasizing that the solution should not be temporary but sustainable to prevent the recurrence of this crisis."
