The Vice President of the Iranian Football Federation was arrested on charges of fraud concerning a cryptocurrency case, according to the official IRNA agency on Sunday. The Mehr agency clarified that the Vice President in charge of women's affairs, Shahre Mousavi, was detained following "multiple complaints." In February, the President of the Iranian Federation, Shahabeddin Azizi Khadam, was dismissed a year after taking office. The government daily "Iran" had accused him of "lack of financial transparency" and of "signing a contract with a Zionist company to import video assistant referee (VAR) technology." According to the official agency on Sunday, the Vice President's husband is also detained in the case of counterfeit cryptocurrency.
