After His Leaked Statements.. Zarif Talks About

In a report titled "After His Leaked Statements.. Zarif Talks About 'Internal Strife' in Iran," Sky News highlighted that Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed his "regret" that his leaked statements turned into "internal strife" in Iran. This comment was in response to an audio recording where he discussed the military's role in diplomacy. Zarif shared his opinion via a post on the Instagram app on Wednesday. In his first comment on the recording that caused widespread controversy in Iran, he said, "I deeply regret how a theoretical discussion about the need for balance between diplomacy and the field (military activities), intended for the future statesmen to benefit from the valuable experience of the past eight years, turned into internal strife." Zarif considered that his evaluation of some procedural paths had been framed as a personal criticism. He emphasized the "deep friendship and cooperation" he shared with the late prominent Revolutionary Guard commander Qassem Soleimani for "over two decades."
