Several users of the popular video conferencing platform "Zoom" reported difficulties and even complete service outages on Monday morning. According to "DownDetector," which monitors the status of various digital platforms, issues began with Zoom around 8:45 AM GMT and affected users worldwide. The site noted that it received dozens of reports regarding the application's malfunction.
Of the users reporting issues, 64% indicated trouble joining video conferences, while 27% experienced difficulties with the application itself, and 9% were unable to start video meetings. The cause of the problem with Zoom remains unclear at this time.
In a tweet, the application acknowledged the situation, stating: "We are aware that a number of customers are experiencing difficulties joining meetings." It added that it is investigating the current complaints and will keep the public updated on any developments, offering apologies for any inconvenience caused.
