Protest Rally in Front of Military Court and Road Blockage

A number of residents from the border town of Deir al-Asha'ir in the Rashaya district held a protest rally in front of the military court in Beirut, demanding the release of nine of their children who have been detained for about a month. This detention is linked to their act of bringing goods into their border village, which is facing strict restrictions. The residents called for the release of their children after their case file was completed and transferred to Judge Fadi Akiki for consideration. They also blocked the road for a while in front of the military court, protesting the continued detention of their children, some of whom are in critical health conditions. Following some altercations and a scuffle with army personnel, the residents ended their demonstration.
