Aston Villa Park Designated as COVID-19 Vaccination Center

Aston Villa Football Club announced that its stadium, Villa Park, will be designated as a COVID-19 vaccination center.

The club shared a statement on its official Twitter account saying, "Villa Park has been chosen as a coronavirus vaccination center in the Birmingham area.. A large number of our staff will volunteer in the program." Aston Villa confirmed in its brief statement that many of its employees are expected to volunteer to combat the deadly virus.

On a separate note, the Aston Villa team, which includes Egyptian players Mahmoud Trezeguet and Ahmed Elmohamady, managed to secure a vital victory against Southampton with a score of one to nil. The Egyptian duo did not participate in the match, remaining on the bench throughout the game. As a result of this victory, Aston Villa currently sits in eighth place in the English Premier League standings with 32 points.
