An Indian young man successfully hacked into the website of a local airline to obtain data that helped him recover a lost bag during one of his flights. This information was reported by Sputnik in an article about the hack, which was carried out by a 28-year-old computer engineer named Nadan Kumar. Kumar lost his bag after it was mistakenly swapped with another passenger's bag, while the airline refused to provide him with the other person's information to make contact, citing passenger data protection under the company's privacy protocols.
Kumar stated that he repeatedly reached out to the airline's officials to no avail. Frustrated by the lack of assistance, he began to browse the company’s website in hopes of finding any information that would lead him to the person who swapped bags with him. He noted that through certain steps he took, he managed to access the information he wanted from the airline's website, ultimately allowing him to identify and meet with the individual to retrieve his lost bag.
