Al Hilal Club has officially announced today the departure of its first team football striker, French player Gomez, during the ongoing winter transfer window. The official account of Al Hilal posted a series of photos of its French player on the social media platform "Twitter," commenting, "Thank you for all the achievements we accomplished together."
Gomez had previously shared a cryptic message about his imminent departure, stating, "When dreams come true... the sun sets to rise again in another place, the mission is accomplished."
Gomez joined Al Hilal in August 2018 from Turkish club Galatasaray and played 147 matches with Al Hilal across all competitions, scoring 107 goals, the latest of which was in the last round of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League against Al-Batin.
He won with Al Hilal the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Professional League title twice, the AFC Champions League twice, in addition to the King’s Cup and the Saudi Super Cup.
