The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division issued the following statement: "On the night of July 5-6, 2022, the offices of a sports institution located in the 'Jandouline' area - Bir Hassan, were broken into, resulting in theft estimated at $14,000 and a laptop. Through extensive investigations and inquiries conducted by the Ouzai Division of the Regional Gendarmerie, on July 29, 2022, the identity of the thief was established, leading to his arrest. It was found that he was one of the company's employees, named H. M., born in 2000, Lebanese.
During investigation, he confessed to the allegations against him, in collaboration with three other individuals, stating that they entered the company's offices using a copy of the keys in his possession, and worked to break the locks to conceal their activities and divert suspicion. A portion of the stolen items was recovered and returned to their owners, and the arrested individual was referred to the competent judiciary based on their directives, while efforts continue to apprehend the remaining accomplices."
