Dembélé Wants "Revenge" on Barcelona: This is His Plan!

Dembélé Wants

French international Ousmane Dembélé has refused to extend his contract with his current club Barcelona. The player confided to those close to him that he feels hurt by the club's intention to sell him last summer, and he wants revenge by leaving on a free transfer after his contract ends next year.

Dembélé is under contract with Barcelona until 2022, having signed in the summer of 2017 when he came from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of 105 million euros. The Catalan third channel revealed that the player, who has become a key figure in Dutch coach Ronald Koeman's plans, rejected the contract extension, feeling that the club did not respect him when it sought to sell him last summer. He plans to leave on a free transfer after his contract expires while the club is trying to persuade him to extend it. If he does not agree, his contract will be sold at the end of the current season.

Dembélé has spent three years plagued by injuries, missing a significant portion of matches last season. However, he has now become one of Koeman's key players. He has played 39 matches with Barcelona this current season, scoring 10 goals and providing 4 assists.
