Portuguese authorities have arrested former Serbian footballer Uros Milosavljevic as he was driving a van loaded with approximately 1.5 tons of cocaine and firearms. The seized drugs are estimated to be worth around 70 million euros.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", the 37-year-old Milosavljevic was part of a cell linked to the "Balkan Cartel", which operates in Portugal and Spain.

His arrest was part of a joint operation conducted by Portuguese and Spanish police aimed at dismantling the cartel, which also resulted in the arrest of two other Serbians in Spain and the seizure of 3.7 tons of drugs.
