A Ukrainian delegate slapped a member of the Russian delegation in the face during a meeting of Black Sea countries in the Turkish capital, Ankara, after seizing the Ukrainian flag from him to prevent him from interrupting an interview being filmed with the head of the Russian delegation. The incident occurred yesterday, Thursday, in a hallway of the Turkish Parliament where a meeting of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization was taking place.
Earlier, some Ukrainian delegates clashed with security personnel when they tried to pull them away while they were organizing a protest, shouting and waving their flags next to the main Russian delegate as she attempted to address the meeting.
