The Las Vegas Electronics Show, known as the "Consumer Electronics Show" (CES), will return to an in-person format in 2022 after the annual event was held virtually in the previous edition due to the pandemic. Organizers announced on Wednesday that the event, which typically attracts tens of thousands of professionals and companies in the sector, will take place from January 5 to 8, 2022, with two days dedicated to the media preceding it.
So far, one thousand companies have confirmed their participation in the exhibition, including notable names such as Amazon, Daimler, Dell, Google, Hyundai, IBM, Intel, Lenovo, Samsung, and Sony.
Gary Shapiro, president of the Consumer Technology Association that organizes the show, expressed his satisfaction with the return to Las Vegas, the event's home for over 40 years. He added, "Hundreds of company officials have confirmed the importance of the show to them, as it allows them to meet new and old customers, find partners, connect with the media, and discover innovations."
The "Consumer Electronics Show" traditionally serves as a platform to showcase innovations in areas such as computing, self-driving cars, smart cities, digital health technologies, and more.
