12 Killed and 87 Injured in Clashes in Libyan Capital

The Ministry of Health in the interim Government of National Unity in Libya has announced that 12 people have died due to the clashes occurring in the capital, Tripoli. The ministry stated in a published statement that there are 87 injured, noting that 29 cases have been discharged from hospitals after receiving medical care. Clashes are taking place in Tripoli between a security force led by Imad Al-Trabelsi and the "777 Combat Brigade" led by Haitham Al-Tajouri, near Al-Zawiya Street and Bab Ben Ghashir. Earlier, Al-Wasat reported that the "Constitution Protection Force," affiliated with the interim Government of National Unity, closed the coastal road connecting the capital Tripoli to Misrata, specifically at the Wadi K'aim gate.
