A man died when ammunition exploded in a lake in Austria frequented by swimmers, police reported on Friday. According to the Austrian news agency, the man retrieved the object from Lake Ossiach in Carinthia on Thursday and placed it on the shore. The object exploded while the man was holding it in Steindorf on Friday morning. The nature of the object that exploded is still unclear.
