A violent incident occurred at a private clinic in the Nizhnevartovsk region of Russia, where a patient's husband assaulted a doctor after his wife’s consultation. The incident began when the husband confronted the doctor in his office, asking, "Do you enjoy looking at women's bellies?" Without waiting for a response, he attacked the doctor, who was in a white coat.
According to reporters who spoke with the victimized doctor, the hijab-wearing woman had complained to her husband that the dermatologist had exposed her belly during the examination, which outraged her husband. The doctor sustained injuries to his head, a concussion, and soft tissue bruising. All individuals present in the clinic were taken to the police station for investigation.
The regional administration of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the incident is being reviewed, and procedural decisions will be made based on the findings.
