Milan Officially Signs Veteran Croatian Mandzukic

AC Milan has officially announced via its website the signing of Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic, arriving from Qatari club Al-Duhail, on a 6-month contract until the end of the current season, with an option to extend for an additional season if the Rossoneri qualify for the Champions League.

The statement read: "AC Milan announces that it has acquired the rights to the sporting performance of football player Mario Mandzukic." The statement further added: "The Croatian striker has signed a contract with AC Milan until the end of the season, with the option to extend for the following season." The statement concluded: "Mario Mandzukic will wear the number 9 jersey."

Mandzukic has played 88 matches for Bayern Munich, scoring 48 goals. In 2014/2015, he played for Atlético Madrid and scored 20 goals in 43 matches, before moving to Juventus, where he played 162 matches and scored 44 goals. In January 2020, he transferred to Al-Duhail, where he played 7 matches and scored one goal.

Notably, Mandzukic has won 24 titles during his remarkable career with the clubs he has played for, including 1 UEFA Champions League, 1 UEFA Super Cup, 1 FIFA Club World Cup, 9 league titles, and 12 domestic cups and super cups. He has also scored 33 goals in 89 matches for the Croatian national team, making him the second all-time leading scorer for Croatia.
