The contract dispute of Mohamed Salah with his team Liverpool is nearing resolution, as both parties have reached a mutually agreeable solution, according to the British newspaper "Mirror." The paper confirmed that Salah changed his mind after initially rejecting an offer of nearly £400,000 per week and will renew his contract, which expires in the summer of 2023, closing the door on interested parties like Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona.
Salah has opted not to pursue a higher weekly salary estimated at £500,000, similar to what Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo earns, and he will remain at Anfield for an additional 3 or 4 years. Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano previously announced a halt in negotiations between the two sides, but progress was made following Salah's return from the recent international break.
Salah currently leads the Premier League's top scorers this season with 20 goals, and he has provided his teammates with 10 assists.
