Title: Flood Death Toll in China Rises to 33 with 8 Missing

The death toll from the floods that swept through central China has risen to 33, with eight people still missing, according to state television on Thursday. Rainfall in the city of Zhengzhou (central China) decreased on Tuesday evening, where torrential waters engulfed a subway train and swept away hundreds of carriages. As per the latest figures from Henan province and its capital Zhengzhou, the floods have claimed 33 lives while eight individuals remain unaccounted for since July 16, as reported by "CCTV" citing local emergency services. The Wednesday toll had reported 25 deaths and seven missing. The channel noted that approximately 376,000 people have been evacuated. Additionally, over 200,000 hectares of farmland have been submerged, with damage costs estimated at about 1.22 billion yuan (approximately 160 million euros), according to the same source.
