The General Secretariat of the Central Council at the Bank of Lebanon announced in a statement that "on March 1, 2021, the Central Council of the Bank of Lebanon met under the chairmanship of the governor, with the attendance of all members along with the chairman and members of the Banking Control Commission. It was agreed to establish a road map with deadlines for implementation, through which the Bank of Lebanon will take appropriate measures regarding the application of the provisions of Circular No. 154, based on reports prepared by the Banking Control Commission.
Additionally, the Central Council will convene regularly to follow up on the matter and address the situation of each bank individually in coordination with: - The Financial Markets Authority. - The Special Investigation Commission. - The Supreme Banking Authority."
