The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced that a military helicopter crashed during an emergency landing during a military operation in northern Iraq. A statement from the ministry said, "A Skorsky helicopter was forced to make a sharp emergency landing for technical reasons," in the area of the "Claw Lock" operation, which is the military operation being conducted by Turkey in northern Iraq. The ministry stated that the incident occurred during supply operations, and the aircraft crashed. The statement continued: "Seven of the eight helicopter crew members were rescued. Their health is good," noting that a search is ongoing for one missing person who was on board the helicopter.
