6 Missiles Target Baghdad Airport

Sources revealed details of the attack on Baghdad International Airport early today. The sources indicated that “six missiles targeted Baghdad International Airport out of a total of nine missiles that were all launched at four thirty in the morning.” They added that “the missiles were launched from the Nisimi road west of the capital Baghdad, carried by a vehicle that had boxes of vegetables and fruits, with a launch platform hidden inside, and had been launched from an area surrounded by the Malik Al-Ashtar Brigade (27) affiliated with the Badr Organization.”

The sources noted that “the vehicle contained a platform with nine barrels at the back, of the type (FAW - 1 ton), which has been modified and is difficult to detect due to the design of the platform being flat.” They continued, stating that “the concealed platform in the vehicle raises when launching the missiles and cannot be detected at checkpoints.”

An security source reported today that the Baghdad International Airport was targeted by six missiles. The source said, “Six missiles targeted Baghdad International Airport today.” Local media quoted the source stating that “the missiles that targeted the airport fell near the runway and the civilian side of the building.”

It was added that damage was caused to an aircraft and facilities due to the missile strikes on the airport, noting that the aircraft was out of service. Additionally, it was mentioned that activating the missile defense system intercepted several missiles in the airport's vicinity.

“Alsumaria News” reported security sources stating that damage was incurred to several civilian aircraft at Baghdad Airport. The source also informed that the Victoria base was attacked by a drone at the Baghdad International Airport. The source continued that the Victoria base was subjected to a drone attack at four o'clock this morning, but the C-RAM defense system managed to intercept it before it reached its target.
