Al-Jazira won 2-0 against Al-Ain, while their pursuer Bani Yas defeated Al-Dhafra 5-0, postponing the determination of the Gulf Arab League football title until the final round. Al-Jazira clung to the top position with 54 points, just one point ahead of Bani Yas before the final round.
Ali Mabkhout and Milos Kuzanovic each scored a goal in each half during Al-Jazira's victory, which will secure the title if they win in the final round, regardless of the result of their rival Bani Yas.
In the final round, Al-Jazira will play against Khorfakkan, while Bani Yas will face Al-Wahda. Bani Yas held on to hope and crushed Al-Dhafra with a five-goal rout, scoring three times in the first 18 minutes through Joao Pedro, Gaston Alvarez, and Amer Abdulrahman. Nicholas Jimenez and Ahmed Abu Namous added two more goals after the break.
