Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the top scorer for Liverpool, took the time to send a farewell message to his former teammate in the "Reds" attack, Senegalese Sadio Mane, following the official announcement of Mane's transfer to Bayern Munich. Salah shared several photos of himself with Mane on his Twitter account, writing: "It has been a wonderful journey! Thank you for all the happy times, and I wish you all the best in your new adventure! We will all miss you."
Bayern Munich officially announced on Wednesday that they have signed Sadio Mane until the summer of 2025. Salah played alongside Mane at Liverpool from 2017 until the end of the 2021-2022 season, forming a fearsome attacking duo. The Egyptian star scored 156 goals and provided 63 assists in 254 matches across all competitions, while the Senegalese striker, who joined Liverpool in the summer of 2016 from Southampton for £34 million, participated in 269 matches, scoring 120 goals and assisting 48.
The duo Salah and Mane won six trophies together with Liverpool, including the Premier League, FA Cup, and EFL Cup domestically, as well as the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup internationally.
