The caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati received the Deputy Prime Minister and Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani at his residence. During the meeting, President Mikati affirmed the "strength of the relations between Lebanon and Qatar," emphasizing "the ongoing effort to activate them on all levels."
He stressed that "Lebanon appreciates and values Qatar's constant support alongside it and for its people." He pointed out that the new Qatari support for the army, alongside regular assistance to other military and security forces, is widely appreciated by all Lebanese and helps Lebanon overcome its difficult phase and maintain stability.
