Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed: UAE's Firm Position in Supporting Libya

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, affirmed the UAE's steadfast position in supporting sisterly Libya and achieving the aspirations of its people towards stability, development, and unity. This came during his reception today at Al Shati Palace of Mohamed Yunus Al-Menfi, President of the Presidential Council in Libya, who is visiting the United Arab Emirates.

The Crown Prince welcomed the Libyan guest at the beginning of the meeting and wished him success along with his colleagues in the Presidential Council and the national unity government in leading their country to safety. He also conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and his wishes for peace and stability for sisterly Libya and its people, as reported by the Emirates News Agency.

The discussions addressed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields, as well as developments in the political process in Libya and efforts being made to advance it, in addition to several matters of mutual interest. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasized the UAE's readiness to provide all forms of support and cooperation to overcome existing challenges and to continue working with regional and international parties to enhance the pillars of peace and stability in line with what the Libyan people aspire to.

For his part, the President of the Presidential Council in Libya thanked Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed for the UAE's positive positions in supporting Libya and its people, and its backing in international forums. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and generous hospitality, affirming the depth of relations between the UAE and Libya and looking forward to further strengthening and developing these relations in the future for the benefit of both countries and their brotherly peoples.
