The new variant of the coronavirus, "Omicron," has asserted itself strongly and spread across various countries in a short period. The British newspaper "The Sun" reported that Omicron presents symptoms different from previous variants, highlighting that they closely resemble cold symptoms. Previous variants triggered symptoms such as fever, loss of taste and smell, and headaches. In contrast, the Omicron variant leads to a sore throat, runny nose, sneezing, headaches, and muscle aches. Some individuals infected with Omicron also experienced diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and shortness of breath. A recent study conducted by King's College London found that "if you catch a cold these days, there's a 50% chance you may have COVID-19."
