Al Ahli Jeddah announced on Tuesday evening that they have signed Brazilian Carlos Eduardo from Al Shabab in the UAE during the winter transfer window. Al Ahli Jeddah tweeted, "Third winter signing," along with a welcome video for Carlos Eduardo within the club, receiving positive reactions from fans.
Carlos Eduardo will represent Al Ahli Jeddah for a season and a half for a fee of $3.5 million. This is the second foreign signing for Al Ahli Jeddah in the current winter transfer window, following the acquisition of Cameroonian Frank Khaoma.
Carlos Eduardo had a successful five-season stint with Al Hilal, appearing in 156 matches, scoring 81 goals, and providing 20 assists. He will replace Senegalese Hassan Ndaho, who did not meet the expected performance level with Al Ahli Jeddah.
In another context, Al Ahli Jeddah player Abdul Rahman Ghareeb shared a photo from the match against Al Faisaly and wrote, "Thank God for everything; the best is yet to come, God willing."
