Explosions Shake American Base in Eastern Syria

Eight explosions were heard late Friday/Saturday in the vicinity of the Al-Omar oil field, which is used by American forces as an illegal military base for the "international coalition," in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

A reporter from "Sputnik" in eastern Syria cited local sources stating that the explosions were heard in the towns and villages surrounding the "Al-Omar oil field." This field is the largest oil field in Syria and serves as the main base for the so-called "American coalition" in eastern Syria.

The sources added that the explosions resulted from eight rocket shells of unknown origin, although they suggested they were likely fired from areas southeast of the Euphrates River, specifically from the Badiyah of Mayadeen, or from the north of the river, all reportedly from the source of tribal and popular resistance.

The sources confirmed that the "American army" would likely repeat the narrative of "live ammunition military drills," while also indicating that these claims are no longer credible given the tense security and military situation in the region since the beginning of the new year, which includes the bases of the Al-Omar oil field and the Conoco gas plant in the rural Deir ez-Zor.

Recently, the "international coalition" bases led by the American army at the "Al-Omar oil field" and the "Conoco gas plant" have been subjected to repeated rocket attacks by popular and tribal resistance factions west of the Euphrates, with no information available about potential casualties among coalition forces.

Just two days ago, American coalition airstrikes targeted military positions of popular factions in the towns of Al-Ashara and Mayadeen west of the Euphrates in the eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.
