Saudi Arabia Announces Arrival of 358,000 Pilgrims in Medina

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Saturday that more than 358,000 male and female pilgrims have arrived in Medina through various air and land entry points from different nationalities, according to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The ministry reported that more than 289,000 pilgrims have arrived at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina since the start of this year's Hajj flights.

Additionally, the land immigration center received over 50,000 pilgrims, while the pilgrims' road center welcomed more than 18,000 pilgrims, alongside the remaining number of pilgrims in Medina by nationality. It was noted that Bangladeshi pilgrims were the most numerous in Medina on Friday, with 12,000 pilgrims, followed by Pakistani pilgrims with 9,350, Indian pilgrims with 6,401, Nigerian pilgrims with 5,135, and Iranian pilgrims with 5,028.

The ministry indicated that 277,000 pilgrims had departed from Medina in recent days towards the holy sites in Mecca, with the total number of pilgrims remaining in Medina as of Friday exceeding 80,000.
