## Report to the Attorney General Against News about Sherine

A Egyptian lawyer has filed a report with the Egyptian Attorney General regarding the divorce of Egyptian artist Sherine Abdel Wahab. Lawyer Samir Sabry requested an order to prevent the publication of any news about the divorce, which has caused a significant uproar in Egypt, pointing out that "the news has devolved into disputes involving numerous scandals and accusations" in several local newspapers. Sabry stated: "The news includes scandals that harm society and the Egyptian public opinion, and insult all families in Egypt in general, extending particularly to the artistic community, which can hardly bear more scandals than it already does." He added, "Everything published on behalf of Sherine Abdel Wahab demeans the dignity of Egyptian women and diminishes their status," concluding his report by requesting the Attorney General to issue an order to investigate what has been stated and to cease the publication of any news about the divorce, in respect for Egyptian women, public opinion, morals, and family values in Egypt.

Sherine had discussed the details of her divorce crisis from Hossam Habib and her recent bald appearance in a statement on the program "Al Hikaya" with Amr Adib, justifying her actions by saying she is an extremely sensitive person who felt "slaughtered" due to the pressure she has faced lately and because of her divorce crisis. She added that she decided to punish herself by shaving her head, reappearing in front of the public, and returning to her work, revealing that she did this also "to appear unattractive to her ex-husband so he would agree to the divorce." Sherine disclosed that her father used to shave his head completely whenever he faced a crisis, and she did the same before seeking a hairstylist to add the finishing touches.

Sherine stated that she still loves Hossam Habib and needs people to support her without criticizing or hurting her with any words. She revealed that she suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder after the birth of her daughters, constantly fearing for their safety, and she is still receiving treatment for this condition. She added that she realized her audience is her only remaining support, the only embrace that contains her at present, and that she must rely on herself and not on anyone else. The Egyptian artist appeared bald and received significant support from her fellow artists and the public, who empathized with her following the revelation of her recent psychological struggles and her announcement of her desire to return to her artistic life.
