EU Leaders Reach Partial Ban Agreement on Oil Imports from Russia

European Council President Charles Michel announced that the leaders of EU countries reached an agreement to impose a partial ban on oil imports from Russia during the first session of the Brussels summit. Michel wrote on Twitter: "An agreement has been reached to impose a ban on Russian oil imports to the EU. This immediately affects two-thirds of oil imports from Russia." He confirmed that "the sixth package of sanctions includes other measures as well, such as disconnecting 'Sberbank' from the SWIFT system, banning the broadcasting of three Russian television channels in the union, and imposing sanctions on Russian individuals."
