Kuwaiti actress Ghadeer Al-Sabti responded angrily to media personality Mai Al-Eidan after being accused of concealing her COVID-19 infection, which allegedly led to the transmission of the virus to Kuwaiti actor Mishari Al-Balam. Al-Balam was admitted to intensive care due to severe COVID-19 symptoms and deterioration of his health.
Al-Sabti's response came in a video she posted on her social media account, where she addressed Al-Eidan's insinuations that suggested she transmitted the virus to Mishari during the filming of a television series.
Ghadeer Al-Sabti criticized Mai, saying: "Come on now, we’ve been quiet for too long, but this is where it stops... I swear by God, anyone who mentions my name or talks about me in something that does not concern them or writes anything about me without being sure will regret it." She added: "Do you know how long I’ve been trying to reach Mai and she doesn’t respond? Your tongue is long only behind the phone... If you have the truth and are speaking the truth, respond, Mai, and say, yes, I tested you and you had COVID."
