Army Commander: The Phase Calls for Unified Efforts

Army Commander General Joseph Aoun received the retired Brigadier General Nicolas Mezher, head of the Veterans Association, along with a delegation from the association at his office in Yarze. The delegation presented the issues faced by its members and their essential needs. On the other hand, Aoun praised "the efforts being made by the association members as the only legitimate representatives of retired officers and military personnel, defending their issues and striving for their rights." He affirmed that "the Army Command is doing its utmost to support the association in its endeavors, in appreciation of the significant sacrifices made by retired officers and military personnel during their service," emphasizing the "importance of continuing coordination between the army and the association during this difficult phase that necessitates unified efforts for the benefit of all officers and military personnel, both retired and active."
