The Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Raï received the President of the Lebanese Democratic Party, MP Talal Arslan, and discussed the current situation.
The National News Agency reported that Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Raï received today, in the patriarchal edifice in Bkerke, MP Talal Arslan, and the current circumstances were reviewed. Arslan confirmed after the meeting that the discussion included the formation of the Lebanese government, forensic auditing, and ways to find serious solutions to the crises facing the country on all levels, noting that all these issues were raised with His Beatitude with full seriousness. The President of the Lebanese Democratic Party stated, "It is always necessary, especially in these difficult circumstances that the country is enduring, to visit this ancient Lebanese national edifice represented by the remarkable figure of His Eminence Cardinal Raï" to discuss all the issues and challenges that the country is facing and to seek ways out of them, indicating that everyone pays the price of these crises directly or indirectly. Arslan pointed out the recklessness and irresponsibility regarding the savings of the Lebanese people at all social and economic levels related to people's lives, amid challenging and dangerous health conditions that pose a significant threat to Lebanon.
